Nursery Hand

We are currently hiring Nursery Hands to assist in various tasks related to maintenance and care. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about horticulture and eager to contribute to the growth and success of our organisation. We are searching for a strong-minded candidate who also can be a proficient communicator, a good confident decision maker, and is willing to learn all broad aspects of the role.

Key Tasks:

• Assist with the planting, potting, and transplanting of plants, flowers, and trees.
• Prune and trim plants to promote healthy growth and maintain aesthetic appeal.
• Water, fertilise, and apply pesticides or herbicides as directed by supervisory staff.
• Confidence to make decisions and alter as circumstances require.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the premise, including sweeping, weeding, and removing debris.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of plant care techniques and horticultural practices.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Pay rate: $30.13 per hour
