As a powder coater, you'll be responsible for applying a dry powder coating to various metal surfaces in order to provide a durable and attractive finish. Your tasks will include preparing the surfaces for painting, applying the powder coating using an electrostatic spray gun, and curing the coating in an oven to ensure it sets properly. You'll need to be skilled in measuring and mixing coatings, as well as understanding the properties of different materials and how they affect the coating process. An eye for detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to follow safety protocols are also important in this role.

Essential Tasks:

• Prepare and powder paint a variety of surfaces including, steel, aluminum, and other shop coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories and other surfaces as specified.
• Apply protective powder coatings to items such as equipment and miscellaneous metalwork.
